Established in 2009, Dismal Falls Trading Co. offers finely appointed cabin rentals and camp sites in a rural setting in beautiful Bland County, Virginia. We offer a wide variety of accommodations year round for hikers, equestrians, adventure cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds.

Whether a single hiker on a tight budget, a group of friends out for a ride or the extended family looking to get together for a large family reunion or wedding we can accommodate you! "Base Camp, "Dismal"" consists of our "Mountain Inn", rental cabins and enormous bunk house all expandable with an inventory of high end wall tents. The compound also has multiple inland and creek side primitive camp sites. We offer entire cabins, single and double occupancy private rooms, semi private rooms and a bunk room. Dismal Falls Trading Co. is ever evolving through the addition of accommodation and amenity. We seek to offer our guests a clean and comfortable accommodation in a very rural setting nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Surrounded by the Washington & Jefferson National Forests "Mother Nature" offers the ultimate amenity!! Ample opportunity for equestrians, hikers, hunters, fisherman, adventure cyclists, bird and wildlife watchers just to name a few. The Appalachian Trail, Dismal Falls and countless horse, hiking and biking trails are all accessible from Base Camp, Dismal. Camp amenities include but are not limited to horse paddocks, satellite tv (and limited wifi), vending area, camp store, fire pits and grilling areas, horseshoe pits, water front overlooks and fishing areas. Through our affiliate, Highland Outfitters, we are happy to offer Wilderness, garden and New River excursions. Please inquire for more details.

With a diverse variety of accommodation consisting of primitive camp sites, "Glamp" sites, group rooms, private rooms and entire cabins our rates vary greatly.
